The increase in life expectancy we have witnessed over the past century, it is also responsible for the rising incidence of chronic and degenerative diseases. The properties of pluripotent stem cells (PSC) offer an attractive strategy to address some of the health issues from an aged population. In this seminar we will re-evaluate claims of immunogenicity and will discuss the unique opportunities that PSC offer to the field of immunotherapy.
